Pink Patchwork Quilt added to my Folksy Shop

I have been making this quilt for the last month.  I used a load of scrap pieces I had in pinks and purples and cut out 4 inch squares and joined them together in a random pattern.  Then I added a border around the outside using Amy Butler Love Paradise fabric which I thought went really well with the pinks and purples and sets off the quilt.  I used some more smalle scraps up around the edge as binding.  This quilt was hand quilted and it took me about two weeks to do the quilting on and off.  I think I get a better result from the hand quilting as I feel I am more in control than using the machine.

The quilt is 54 inches by 64 inches approx.

  5. Thanks everyone, I love the Amy Butler fabric too, I have had it for a while now and didn't know what to use it for as the pattern was a bit big but it was ideal for this quilt.
